Overview

The board plays a complex but vital role in the success of any organisation and understanding its functions is the responsibility of any effective existing or aspiring board member, or for those that currently report into the board.

This course equips participants with the tools and knowledge to make an impactful contribution, interact effectively with board members and achieve long-term success. It considers the relationships between the key board members, the board itself and the committees and other stakeholders, both internal and external. It discusses what makes an effective board and the role that board evaluations can play in continuously improving performance.

It will cover the importance of succession planning and participants will gain a holistic understanding of how to prepare a truly effective board.

This course counts as 4 CPD hours of learning and may be taken individually or as part of the full 16-hour programme.
