Content

The Office for National Statistics estimates that for the year ending March 2018 4.5 million cyber crimes were committed in England and Wales. The 2018 Cyber Breaches Survey estimates that two in five businesses have been subject to some kind of cybercrime within the past twelve months.

This highly interactive workshop takes you right through the issue of cyber security, starting with identifying what we mean by cyber, how vulnerable your business might be to a cyber attack, what controls and systems you should have in place to prevent or mitigate the effects of a cyber attack and what to do if you do suffer an attack. It looks at all the functions which will need to respond, including PR, Customer Service, Finance, Human Resources and Investor Relations as well as what external stakeholders such as the regulators, customers, suppliers and the police will expect.

A very practical board simulation based on learnings from over 100 major data breaches will bring the subject to life and will show you: 8 instinctive errors that exacerbate cyber incidents; 4 gaps that stop companies responding effectively; and 3 lies that executives tell themselves during a breach.
