The Effective Non-Executive Director Asia Programme is an intensive two-day course designed for existing non-executive directors who wish to further develop their skills or for people who have just taken on their first non-executive position and are keen to prepare themselves for a non-executive career.
This is a practical, detailed and highly interactive course with recognised speakers and thought-leaders who will help you with improving board effectiveness and increasing your contribution to the board.
Attendance can be considered as 13 CPD hours of structured learning.
The CPD hours are generally qualified to obtain accreditation from Law Society of Hong Kong*, ACCA and HKICS. Final decision is subject to approval from individual organisation and institute.

Frank has more than 10 years of experience of acting for corporates and investment banks on public and private offerings of equity and debt securities, including initial public offerings, private placements, follow-on offerings and debt programmes, as well as on public and private M&A, privatisation, joint ventures, spin-offs and other corporate restructurings. He has worked on matters throughout Asia Pacific, Europe and US, including for companies listed on the stock exchanges in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, Japan and the United Kingdom.

Alice began her career as a semiconductor engineer at Digital Equipment Corporation in the U.S. She then joined McKinsey & Company as a management consultant in New York, where she advised Fortune 100 clients on strategic, organizational and technology issues. She later joined International Paper Company as an executive in corporate development, leading cross-functional teams in negotiating acquisitions in North America, Europe and Asia.
Alice returned to Hong Kong in 1993 to establish a China fund and advise midsize international companies on their China entry strategies, then joined the executive search industry in 1995. She took a one-year leave from the business in 1999 to lead strategic planning and e-commerce at AsiaContent.com, which successfully listed on NASDAQ in 2000.
Alice has a bachelor‘s degree in chemical engineering from Yale University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. From 2010 to 2012, she served as a part-time member of the Central Policy Unit of the Government of the Hong Kong SAR from 2013 – 2019, she was a member of the Human Capital Committee of the Financial Services Development Council (FSDC) in Hong Kong SAR. Prior to founding Praxonomy, he co-founded and served as CEO of NetDimensions, a London Stock Exchange AIM-listed talent management software company, before its acquisition in 2017 by Learning Technologies Group plc for US$67M. Bob has 30+ years management experience highly focused on Asia/China inorganic growth strategies with significant operational management leadership. Bob left EY (f/k/a Ernst & Young) in 2016 to take on independent advisor and board roles leveraging his significant M&A, corporate finance strategy and corporate governance experience. While at EY, he founded their Transaction Advisory Services businesses initially in California then across Greater China and the Far East, where he was also the Asia Pacific Private Equity Leader.
