Alan is Chair of Churchill China plc and Newmarket Travel.

He has over 20 years experience with numerous quoted and private companies both as a Chair and Non Executive Director.

He has worked across a wide range of business sectors including manufacturing, retail, services, communication and technology.

He was an Executive Director of Marks and Spencer and Kingfisher Group companies and in his earlier career held both marketing and general management appointments with Thomson Consumer Electronics and Spillers Foods. He started his career with Unilever.

Alan is a graduate of London University.

He is a Fellow and past Chair of the Marketing Society and a Liveryman of the City of London.
