Mike is the owner of recruitment services firm Walgrove. He founded the company in 2009 and the focus is board appointments (Chair, NED and CEO) for UK SME’s. In 2015 International recruitment capability was added by membership of the Cornerstone International network and in 2018 a career transition service for executives looking to start the non-executive phase of their career was launched.

Since 2016 Mike has been a speaker and presenter on the FT Board Director Programme. He is an ambassador for both Nurole, the online board level hiring platform, and Women on Boards, a support network focused on helping the next generation of female directors.
