Simon is an experienced NED in the financial services sector and a qualified Chartered Accountant. He was formerly Group Commercial Director at Legal & General and has experience in risk management, digital innovation, M&A, and international business development.

Current NED roles

Simon serves as Non-Executive Chair of Legal & General (PMS) Limited, which is a stakeholder pension provider, subject to MiFID II and CASS frameworks, with c.2 million customers and c.£25 billion AUA.

He is also independent Non-Executive Director, and Chair of the Risk and Capital Committee, of Capita Life and Pensions, which provides administration for c.6 million life insurance and retail fund customers, and non-executive Chair of Capita plc’s Financial Services Oversight Committee with a specific focus on regulated business risk and compliance activities and issues. 

Simon is also a tutor for the FT’s NED Diploma course.
