Chief executive, chairman, board director and advisor in media, data science and not-for-profit sectors. Monica’s executive experience is in commercial propositions and partnerships and working through periods of significant challenge and change. She is a member of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for AI; member of the Bias in AI Research Group at Durham University; Adviser to the European Union of International Cinemas; a member of the CMI’s President’s Advisory Council; and Adviser to SMEs.

Monica was the CEO of MyMovies.Net Ltd, the UK market-leading content recommendation platform to publishing and media businesses, helping them to drive audience engagement and monetisation. Her previous roles include Vice Chair and Chair of Remuneration at Queen Mary University of London; Chair of the British Independent Film Awards Advisory Board; Adviser to the BAFTA Digital Communications Board; Adviser to the Industry Trust for Intellectual Property Awareness; Non-Executive Director at Voddess Portal Ltd; Non-Executive Director at Obviously Creative Ltd and Adviser to an accelerated Non-Executive Director Programme for exiting military officers. She is a regular speaker for the FT Board Director Programme.

Monica was appointed an ambassador for Women on Boards in 2018 and a ‘Super NED’ by FDS Director Services and the University of Salford in the same year. She was recognised in the 2019 Female FTSE Board Report as one of the top 50 Women to Watch in the UK. Monica gets her energy from working with different people on different missions. She is an Ashridge-trained coach and has a great sense of humour.
